Protest

Supporters and opposition are clashing throughout Haiti to either overthrow or keep the Haitian president in office.

Children play soccer in front of the burned Ennery City Police station following the violent uprising between opposition and supporters of President Astride.

Soccer mixed with danger

 Children play soccer on the basketball court in front of the Ennery City Police Station that was burned by militants who invaded the city. The Haitian police took back the city of Gonaives after just two days under militant rule.

Nonsupporter

Two boys look on as an Anti Astride supporter lies dead on the mountain side in Saint Marc, 90 km from the Haitian capital Port Au Prince. Astride supporters have been plummeted with rocks from militants who want Astride out of power as soon as possible.

Gunbattle in Gonaives

A gunbattle between militant rebels and police broke out in Gonaives after the police retook Haiti's fourth largest and historical city. Gonaives is known as the birth place of Haitian Independence from France in 1804.

A man rides a motorcycle pass the entrance into Gonaives with a burning blockade created by the militants near by. Many fear that a political crisis could be on the rise as people take the blame directly to the president himself.

Danger on the Horizon

A young girl waits outside her house as rebels burned houses suspected off supporting Astride's government under rebel held cities many are being detained or arrested by rebels for throwing their support for Astride. So far there has been many clashes with rebels and supporters of the Haitian president.

A police man ducks behind a truck as supporters of Astride throw rocks while the international media looks on.

Father and son

A boy and his father are helped as opposition and supporters of Astride collide in the capital of Port Au Prince. The police fear that the rebels will be unable to control and many do not want to interfere in stopping advance rebels since most of the opposition are well armed.

Pending doom

US Marines arrived in the capital of Port Au Prince, Haiti to protect the US Embassy if it might come under attack. The Marines arrived on Febraury 23, as foreigners fleed the capital that later on caused many Haitians to loot the capital. Astride has called on the world to help his country before the rebels invade the capital.
